psfig Mac - LaTeX

Sorry if this is a bit off the mark as far as the right group.

I am using psfig for capturing MacDraw2 pictures in LaTeX.

Problem : The shading on the Mac pictures eg grey, looks different
on the LaTeX document, but only sometimes. Try again and
it might work. Sometimes a different printer gives better
results. Sometimes the shading pattern on the LaTeX doc
is radically different to the original Mac one.

Any clues ?

ps the toner has nothing to do with it.

Thanks,
	Colin.
