What are these messages telling me?

One of our X window installations in our network is causing some of our
word processing and database management software to produce the following
messages when the applications are started:

Warning: translation table syntax error: Unknown keysym name: osfRight
Warning: ... found while parsing ' ~Shift ~Ctrl <Key>osfRight: IncrementDownOrR
ight(1)'
Warning: translation table syntax error: Unknown keysym name: osfUp
Warning: ... found while parsing ' ~Shift Ctrl <Key>osfUp: PageUpOrLeft(0)'
Warning: translation table syntax error: Unknown keysym name: osfDown
Warning: ... found while parsing ' ~Shift Ctrl <Key>osfDown: PageDownOrRight(
0)'

What does it mean and how do I fix it?

Probably means that you need the "osf" definitions in your "XKeysymDB"
file (/usr/lib/X11/XKeysymDB, or similar path). This file (with those
definitions) is part of the standard Motif distribution. Check any of
your other machines to see if you have a copy of it elsewhere...

I had that occur when the Motif libraries were upgraded to 1.2 when I was
running a Motif 1.1 application. (Or maybe it was the other way around.)
