measure/analyze X/PEX protocol over LANs

I'm looking for tools (equipment and software) to measure/analyze X
client/server communications over ethernet LANs. I'm especially
interested in measuring/analyzing client/server communications in
a PEX protocol environment, i.e., 3-D requests.

If anyone has info on this subject please respond by email. I
will consolidate and post the response to the news group.

Thanks in advance,
Rick.
