Hello,
I missing some of discussion. Our NNTP server gain about 11MB disk
space each day, therefor our system manager clean up the disk each
week. I was miss some of early discussion from this subject(inlude
the first post Future development of PEX/PHIGS). The earliest discussion
I read is:

Can somebody out there repost everything before 16 Aug 92 in these
subject, or email them to me(especial the first posting).
Thank you!
-------------------------------------------------------------
I was an EE doing microprocessor/digital circuit design(that was 80's).
In the 90's Networking/communication and computer graphics are in.
Two months ago I got a new job doing computer graphics display.
My new suppervisor bought Sun 4/670, Sun 4/690 and Sillicon Graphics
440. He will buy HP-9000 too. But he dose not support money for
training. I have to learn everything from my mute teachers(the books).
Right now learning Xlib, Xt, and Motif. I certainlly will learn PEX/Phigs
and GL later next year.
Recentlly I read some disccusions in this newgroup with subjects
Analysis of PEX 5.1 and OpenGL 1.0 by Allen Akin and
Future development of PEX/PHIGS.
I am wondering is possible to write a GL program to call Phigs
libraries, or other way, write a Phigs program program
to call OpenGL libraries. Are there somebody know how to do that?
or are there somebody already have done that?
Because I remenber when I still in school(late 80's), I wrote some
C programs to call Fortran subroutine. Fortran is not requirement
course for the "Pepsi" generation. But the "Coca-Cola Class" scientists
and engineers have written a lot of useful Fortran subroutines. All
we have to do is call them up with C.
When you write a huge and complicate program, it require team works.
There are 8 poeple in my team. Each individual of them should
have right to "Pro-Choice". I expect somebody write PEX/Phigs
programs and somebody write OpenGL programs, then put them
together in one big program.
If anyone know someone or some companies already done that, please
let me know. Thank you.
