Is there anyway to get a REAL 3D WC coordinate from a
2d cursor position that reflects the ACTUAL location
where it is (in 3d)
I am aware of the DRAWABLE_POINTS_TO_WC
escape, but this is not obviously what I want.
It seems that this is described on page 742 of
O'reilly's PHIGS programming manual regarding
3d Locator points as well as on page 788
regarding picking a Z value of 0 to pass to the
escape.
Has anyone tried iteratively passing Z coordinates
to the escape for the whole range of DC and then
somehow figuring out really where your cursor is in
3d??
Is this an impossible function to perform (taking 2d
cursor location and getting a REAL 3d WC coordinate)
in Phigs? Is seems like some 'escape' traversal with the 2d
cursor location would be able to figure out which 3d coordinate
is actually displayed on the screen where you have selected
the point (last point traversed at that x,y location?????)
