Does PEX-SI support HL/HSR?

A quick question ... does the PEX-SI (the PEX implementation
distributed with MIT's X11R5) support any of the HLHSR modes
(PHIGS_HLHSR_MODE_{ZBUFF,PAINTERS,SCANLINE,LINE_ONLY})?
When I tried selecting the PHIGS_HLHSR_MODE_ZBUFF mode (in the
auto_box demo program), I get the following error:
PHIGS error 111 in SET HLHSR MODE: Ignoring function, the specified HLHSR mode
is not available on the specified workstation
I've tried this on both a DECstation 5000 running Ultrix 4.2a & a
SPARCstation ELC running SunOS 4.1.2.

And an even quicker answer: No.
Every one of the PEX-SI sponsoring companies was going to "do
their own (hardware-based) thing" for HLHSR, so it was way at
the bottom of the list for the SI. It never made it to the
top before we turned things over to MIT.
It quickly became the most sought-after feature, though! 8-(
