     Hello World,
I am planning to run some PEX applications on RISC/6000,but i am
getting an error stating that the server does not support compatible PEX
extension .What would be the cause.I would be glad if someone would throw some
light on this problem, since i do not have the RISC display PostScript Reference

                                                      Thanks

If you have AIX 3.2.0, you'll need either a GTO (or model 730) or
GT4X graphics adapter. Those are the only two adapters that run PEX at
that level and they really only support the PEX Workstation Subset.

What API does your PEX applications use? PHIGS? PEXlib?

Be sure you are starting the server with 'xinit -x pex'. If you want to
have the PEX extension start with just 'xinit', read /usr/lpp/X11/bin/README.PEX.

PEX 5.1 support for all IBM graphic adapters will be available at year-end with
a Selective Enhancement to AIX 3.2.3.
