I ftp'd the file X.V10R4.update.tar.Z from zap.mit.edu. When I uncompress
the file, I get the error message, uncompress: corrupt input. And of course,
tar then prints the error, tar: directory checksum error (4 != 40241).
Is the compressed file corrupted? Or am I doing something wrong. I
transferred the file as an ASCII file. Should it have been type binary?
