  twm already has a "click-to-focus" mode. Just add this line to the .twmrc
file:
        NoTitleFocus

This stops the keyboard focus from following the mouse. Then you could add a
"focus" button to the title bar with this entry in .twmrc:

        RightTitleButton ":dot" = f.focus

The ":dot" is just a bitmap to use.

  If, on the other hand, you are talking about colormap focus, a patch exists.
The patch is from Steve Jacobson <csvsj@garnet.berkeley.edu>, and was posted to
comp.window.x back in February 1992. I haven't had time to try it out yet.

  This patch is supposed to give twm the same sort of colormap abilities that
mwm has with "colormapFocusPolicy: explicit". It's debatable if that is a "good
thing", but it does help with some applications :)
