I am in product management. I am asking for your input in the following scenario: I am a potential customer and you are a salesperson. You are trying to sell me a product that is X based (motif to be specific). I am looking at another vendor who offers the same product, same functionality etc. except it used Microsoft Windows. My questions to you are: what can I gain by using/buying an X based product? Why should I buy a workstation when I have a PC? Are there any strategic benefits (both long and short term) to using X? Performance issues? I think you get the idea as to the type of information that I am hoping to find from you. Also, if you know of any groups that discuss marketing X products please let me know. Please respond directly to me, my address is as follows: Blair Koch Aspect Telecommunications 1730 Fox Drive San Jose, CA 95131-2312 uunet!aspect!blair (408) 441-2490 Thanks for you cooperation.
