Apparently XFree 4.01 should insmod the tdfx kernel module itself if it's
not already loaded. Does anybody know what tdfx should be aliased as in 
modules.conf for this to work ?

Hi Kenneth,
I finally got my VOODOO4 working with XFree4.0.1.
There is not tdfx entry in /etc/modules.conf required.

OK, alias char-major-145 tdfx seemes to do the trick.
