  Sino_US relation is very important for China, but not the most important.
From 1949-1979, Chinese people survived the US led contain, isolation, etc.
China still alive and getting stronger. If US don't want to deal with Chinese,
we have German, Japanese, Russian etc. It was Nixon who went to Beijing to
normalize relation with China, not Mao.
  As for the MFN, it's not a gift, it's a mutual agreement. Without MFN,
lots of Chinese will lost their jobs, in the mean time, Boeing, MD, etc
probably have to cut their work force too.
