Are they all made by prisoners? They think labor-cost of prinsoner must be ZERO. In fact, many foreign companies, including those of US, Hongkong, and Taiwan's, are hiring Chinese workers at a cost of app. US$30-40/month in South China. These labor-costs sometimes are even less expensive than prisoners. Just imagine how much should be spent on prison systems and prisoners. Furthermore, do you really believe that China is full of prisons everywhere? :-) It is well known that the crime rate in China is much lower than that in the US. I don't know much about history, but can you tell me which American citizen has been sentenced to death these years? There must be thousands of American spies in China, they are quite safe:-) Unfortunitely, Mr. Wu is just a victim in the political game of Mainland China, Taiwan and the US. When each part finally 'saves face', he will be all right. If the China govt is taking Mr. Wu personally and seriously, he could have already died a hundred times. btw, can anyone tell me what most of American prisoners do when they are in jail? Eat and sleep all the day? Or learn some new skill from other prisoners and then they will be able to commit crime more efficiently? I don't mean to defend for Chinese Govt. I am writing these nonsence just to remind some kind-hearted Amenricans that the differencies between the two cultures are somewhat beyond our imagination. Therefore, you'd better think twice and think independently if you hear something about another culture, especially which you have only learned from CNN or ABC's screen.
