Isis Distributed Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Stratus
Computer, seeks a highly qualified part-time systems administrator for
its Ithaca, New York office. Hours are flexible: approximately 15
hours per week but this is negotiable. However, a significant portion
of the hours worked should be scheduled during some part of the normal
business day.

The successful applicant will be responsible for administering a
medium-size network of approximately 25 workstations, connected via
Ethernet and a soon to be deployed ATM switch. Experience in
administering e-mail, system kernels, TCP/IP, NIS and NFS on SunOS,
Solaris and HPUX systems is required. The person will also plan and
manage our system configuration, carry out hardware and software
installation and upgrades, arrange to have broken hardware repaired,
maintain system records and deal with system anomalies. Good
organizational skills are a must. Network & hardware troubleshooting
ability a strong plus. Experience with Windows desirable but not
required.

Isis Distributed Systems is a small but rapidly growing company
positioning itself as the leading developer of fault-tolerant
software. Applications may be sent to recruiting@isis.com,
