Snyder Hill Road modem users...

Hey.

Anyone using a modem on Snyder Hill Road having any luck getting connected at
any speed faster than 28.8k?

I have a 28.8k modem now, and I've tried two different new 56k (V.90)
modems...

1. With the first, I could -rarely- get anything faster than 28.8k. I -once-
got as high as 40k, but usually it was at 26.4 (a speed -drop- over my old
modem).

2. With the second (just as a test), I got 28.8k every time.

I've tried tweaking the wiring in the house for the best effect, but it didn't
seem to make any improvement...

So, I'm curious to know if it's the main phone lines out here that suck, or
whether it -is- my indoor wiring. I'm out in the 370s...

Please email/post any input you have. Thanks.
