Mark your calendars now --keep this day open!
The Ithaca Swing Dance Network is sponsoring a day of classes with
Frankie Manning on Saturday, May 8. Frankie is the choreographer for
the dance sequences in Malcolm X, and received a Tony award for his
choreography in the Broadway musical Black and Blue. He is an original
member of Whitey's Lindy Hoppers, and appeared with the group in the
1941 film Hellzapoppin' and in a Marx Brothers film (was it A Day at the
Races?)
