Howdy, my creative friends.  Today's topic is ILLITERACY.  The following is an
actual post from a movie message board:

there iz only 1 white rapper and will only ever b 1 white rapper and he kickz
@$$ holla


Now... WHY is it considered "cool" among young people today to be illiterate?? 
I'm just as guilty of the occasional typo or misspell as the next person, but
come on!!!  It wasn't that long ago that school was optional, and many of the
less wealthy & minorities didn't get to go.  There are STILL thousands of
adults in this country who do not know how to read & write.  This kind of crap
seems to be mocking what they go through day in and day out.  To me, being
illiterate on purpose is like bragging about having AIDS, or cancer, and how
awesome that would be.  

If anyone has any insight into this fad, trend, downfall of the written word,
or whatever you want to call it, please share.  I'm more and more disgusted
with every post.
