Original Support Request from Customer on 8/21/2002 7:15:24 PM Problem Description: I have a webcam with the model number 1100001424 and I need drivers for windows 2000. This is a webcam with a parrallel connection. I could not find drivers for windows 2000 on your site. What should I do? Response from Creative: 8/29/2002 11:32:32 AM Greg, Currently we do not have any driver support for this model of camera in Windows2000. I do not believe that there is any immediately plans to make new drivers for this camera because we no longer make the camera. However, we do have many models of cameras that work great in Windows2000. You can check them out on our webpage at www.americas.creative.com or you can call our Customer Information line at 1-800-998-5227 to hear general product information from one of our agents. Danny I have purchased the following from creative: 1 soundblaster Pro 1 soundblaster 16 1 webcam II 1 nvidia tnt video card Your answer that I should buy a new camera because you no longer support the one I already own is unbelieveable. I have also had a hard time finding drivers for my creative video card, should I run out and buy a new one of those too? How about I just send you my paycheck so you dont have to support any of your products. You people suck. I will never buy another product from creative. I used to think you were the best because of good products and great support. Its really sad that you have decided to take a big steaming dump on your loyal customers over something so trivial as software drivers. Did you get purchased by MicroSoft or just take on their business practices of "Buy the new release and it will all be fixed". I work for the largest school district in the state of Colorado. I will do everything in my power to see that this District doesnt make the mistake of buying anything from your company again. I am also a member of the Colorado System Administrators Guild and Usenix. I will encourage all those other System Administrators that I have contact with to avoid your products also. I am also going to post my experiences with creative on Google Groups and other usenet and news groups to warn others of the decline of your once good company. I dont want others to be burned by creative and will also contact TechTV and the ScreenSavers so that they may also warn potential customers of creative. One very unhappy former customer, Greg Donovan Golden, Colorado
