My USB DSL Modem does the same thing. If it's on the system direct it
works fine. Plug it into the HUB and nothing at all on the DSL....
Fortunately I have 4 ports on my system so I can have everything
direct to the system.

One question...... Is the Belkin a Self-Powered hub? My DSL Modem
uses the full 500 MA the USB line can give. If you have another
device on the same USB Channel using SYSTEM power, everything dies
because there isn't enough power. Plug the Camera direct to the
system and everything else to the hub. That's what I ended up having
to do before I got the 4 channel USB connector. FYI I have an AZZA
Athlon T-bird MoBo
