DTT2500's and Powered Subs

Hello all,
I have the DTT2500's and I want to replace the stock subwoofer
for something with a bit more punch / sound quality.  I'm looking
at either a Cambridge BassCube series or a Cerwin Vega
subwoofer.  Does the wattage of the subwoofer matter at all?  Or
can I just add most anyone? (within reason)   Thanks.
