First I'd like to boast that I now have AC3 passthrough working under win2k.
I can get PowerDVD to work with 5.1 and also use playcenter 2.1 to play the
AC3 files on the original install CD. Sounds great too!

If anyone is interested in know exact steps to doing this let me know and I
mite take the time to post a simple procedure.

So now the only problem remaining is the inability for PC-DVD which uses my
DXR3 to use the '4 Point Surround' option like it used to back under win98.
I just plain old get no audio.

So my question is, are there any other DVD player apps that use both the
DXR3 AND AC3 passthrough so that i may once again enjoy my home theatre
system without the need to boot up under win98?

Either that or is there a new verionof PC-DVD coming out from Creative that
will actually work under Win2k? The DXR3 works fine but like i sed, no
audio.

Any ideas people?

Thanx.
