This post was originally rejected by Harvey Fong due to bad language. Lots
of ppl swear these days so it should be such a big deal, but to make harvey
happy, i've decided to repost the message replacing all swear words with the
work HARVEY.

Sorry to pick on you Harvey, but someone has to be the focus of my
frustration...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Exactly rite... I've got a Geforce2 and tried it with the TVout option for
my TV. It's looks HARVEY.. Besides, why on earth would i want software
decoded output like that on a 128cm flat screen TV?

As for moving the output of the DXR3 and plugging it into the digital in of
my home theatre, well this isn't possible cause it only has analog 6 channel
input. Unfortunately AC3 decoders are far too expensive where I come from.
The audio sales guys see a cryptic reference and the word 'digital' and
whack $1000 ontop of the price. HARVEYing HARVEYs..

Really, fixing the PC-DVD player seems like the only solution. Can they
give me the source code and I'll do it myself!? But i mean geez, if they
don't know how to do it talk to the makers of PowerDVD cause they do! And
then rip off their code and attach it to the DXR3 code. Should be a simple
matter. One of their software engineers should be able to do it in no
time..

But alas the corporate heavies are obviously singing the usual song and
thinking that just cause we've already bought it they shouldn't need to
spend any more money developing a solution to make it work.

Well, i've vented my frustration...
