If you buy the Live Platinum you get a remote that works with all your
hardware, such as your DVD etc.  It doesn't use PlayCenter however, it uses
MediaPlayer and "hides" it so you use the interface that comes with the
remote called RemoteCenter.

Would I advise you to buy it?  Probably not.  The software that is bundled
with it, including PlayCenter 2, seems to be somewhat buggy and unstable and
not very user friendly when it comes to managing your play lists.  Even
though the sound quality from the SB Live family is incredible, I am not yet
what you could call a satisfied customer.
