I have the Creative MK 4216 CD-R and recenlty purchased Roxio's EasyCD 5.0. Although the Roxio software will read cds from this drive, it will not copy to recordable media. Investigating my system properties > device mgr. I see that the driver for this cd-rw is listed as CREATIVE CD-RW RW1210E. Visiting the Roxio site and investigating the blurb regarding this particular driver reveals the following paragrapgh. >> There are alternate drive stings for this drive. If the drive string contains "121032" please apply the Creative patch from our download site. DCD support for that version of the drive will be added in the future. Also note that Creative have released a third version of their 12x drive which happens to have the exact above drive string. It is a totally different drive and not supported at this time. << I have applied the patch, to no avail. Does anyone know if the 'mystery' drive referred to in the last two sentences is the Creative MK 4216? Thanks, Carl
