I have just bought an Epox 8KTA3 motherboard based on the VIA KT133A chipset. When I installed it on to an existing Windows mechine the CD worked fine. Then I discovered that Windows did not know the board was ACPI compatible (the old board was from 1996) so it installed the drivers for an ACPI BIOS. Now I can not get my drive to spin up. The drive just spits the CD back out. I can't even get it to work in Pure DOS or with a start-up disk (it has worked with that before). Can some one help me with this?
