First off, SB Live! is not a Legacy device. Windows will ultimately assign
an IRQ for it.  There are no drivers for the card in Windows itself so the
way you are installing it won't work.

Delete any of  the "Unknown Device" entries in System =>Device Manager, then
reboot. These may show up in several places. During reboot, whenever you get
the new device detected message press "Cancel".

After Windows finishes booting up insert your SB Live! cdrom. It should
autostart the installation process, but if not you can start it manually by
running the Auto-start/run or "Setup" excecutables on the Cd. Just follow
the prompts from there. After rebooting again your card should be functional
unless you've got a hardware conflict.
