It can't be a DVD decoder on its own, but it can assist in some of the calculations used when decoding DVD. To use this capability you need a software DVD decoder capable of using the MX. Try either PowerDVD 2.55 or higher of WinDVD 2000. AFAIK, these two have support for the GeForce2 MX's DVD decoding assistance capability.
