Xavier,

In either surroundmixer or in volume control make sure that TAD is not
muted, this would prevent you from being able to hear any sound that the
modem is sending.  If that does not work, try inserting the connecting cable
into the AUX port on the live!.

The live! in analog speaker mode is only able to work with a limited of
analog sources at a time, as such you need to check to see if the TAD is
muted before you use it each time.
