That's your call.  I suggested you compare that with the digital input.

I guess I'm not completely sure how the Denon handles this, but I
think you'll find the digital decoder input will act like a normal
one when it is not receiving a compressed format.  If it doesn't,
I'd suggest you try using a couple of mono RCA Y cables and send
the front output into both the CD and External front inputs.

When you're using them, yes.  LiveSurround games output doesn't use
the center either, though, as I understand it.

You might try hearing what 3D audio sounds like with two-speakers.
Set the SBLive to two-speaker mode and make sure the Denon isn't
simulating surround or applying DSP effects.  May help you grasp
that 3D audio isn't the same thing as surround sound.
