I have a PCI512 sound card and Windows98. There's a line to execute SBEINIT in my AUTOEXEC.BAT. It fails because I have no expanded memory manager loaded. It's not necessary to load it, so I've deleted the line and tried every setting I can find, but no matter what I do, it keeps getting put back into the AUTOEXEC.BAT. I really want it out permanently, since it takes an annoying amount of time during bootup to attempt to load, then fail. Any ideas will be appreciated - please email if possible to ripperm@execpc.com. Creative's web site and help files are totally useless. Rip
