What could I do with my old Creative Quadspeed CD drive to make it read
new data CD_roms? Especially CD's burned in our universitie's computer
center are usually too difficult for it. Sometimes it can start to read
them but most often not. Sometimes it helps if I put the CD in and start
CD-player or Quick-CD - then the drive "finds" the disk. If it has ones
found the disk then it will go on reading it without problems until I
turn the computer of. Then sometimes it will go days that I cannot make
it read the same disk again. This is strange, because is inability is
not absolut, but sometimes it can be "faked" to do it.
I think I have updated the drivers when I installed Windows 95. I s
there any directions I could start to search for solution?
(or must I start to save maney for new drive???)
Thanks
