It's much easier than everything you have suggested: Simply select
"What-U-Hear" for your recording source in the Liveware mixer and you
will be able to record, well, exactly what you hear using any wave
editor (such as Soundforge). Doing this will keep your signal completely
within the digital domain, so there's no need to worry about additional
A/D-D/A conversion. After you're done recording, you can burn the
resulting wave file to a CD.

An alternative to the above procedure would be to record your midi files
to audio tracks in Cubase first so that you're only dealing with audio
files which you should be able to mix down within Cubase. I use Cakewalk
myself, so I can't give you any advice on the exact steps in Cubase, but
I assume that it shouldn't be too difficult.
