Hi, Bjrn, I have a suspicion I know what's going on. But first, no there is no jumper to enable the other connector. Is the second connector labeled 'AUX' or something? It should have its own volume control in the mixer. Make sure it is not muted and set to about the same volume as the CD input. However, the fact that the sound from the first drive gets quieter when the second drive is connected is unusual. I have a suspicion that the second drive may not have a standard pinout, perhaps the cable you are using for the second drive does not have a standard pinout. You could swapping the connections of the two drives to see if it is the drive. If that's the case I would expect the second drive (now connected to CD IN) would have no sound, and the first drive (now connected to the other connector, probably AUX?) would have reduced volume. Also try disconnecting the cable from the first drive and temporarily attaching it to the second drive to see if it's simply the cable. If that's the case I would expect the second drive would have sound, but the first drive would not. Let us know how it goes. Chris Owens Creative Labs, Inc.
