I have been back and fourth with Dell & Sound blaster Tech support with this problem now for a month... Nobody seams to know anything about, this or how to fix it... The 1024 Dell/Sound blaster Value CD has a wrong version UPDDR95 driver.. When you install the software it crashes at 75%, with the wrong version error message... I was informed by Dell tech support that all the PCs shipped with the Sound blaster live value card also have hidden problems...If your a Musician you will soon see that their are missing Soundfont "Instrument"dialog box, and the Midi select options box in the Keyboard.. This is due to the Dells master software not loading fully... The problem is the UPDDR95 wrong version driver... I was told to unistall everything, including deleting just about every Sound blaster Dll etc...Then to install the Liveware 3.0... That worked just fine, the 3.0 and the fix for the 3.0 "1199" has a problem..When you save your instrument soundfonts, they are lost when you reboot..If I reload the 1199, they re appear like magic. The 1199 patch is said to fix only the saving of soundbanks, not Instrument sountfonts... Can anyone help with this? DX7@altavista.com
