I would like to buy a pair of loudspeakers which I can use with a PC
(with soundcard) and my portable CD player (music CD player that is).

The two basic options are 1) to go for "PC speakers" which are also
compatible with my Sony CD player; on some of these "PC speaker"
boxes it explicitly says: "also compatible with portable music CD
players", or 2) buy a pair of those speakers which are usually sold
for portable (music) CD players.

I think either choice of speakers should work with both, the PC and
the CD player, but then what do I know ...

Any comments anyone? Does anyone have experience (good or bad) doing the
same thing? Also, I would welcome recommendations of speakers in
general. I don't particularly want the cheapest ones, but I am also not
very eager to spend 80 Pounds on a pair of speakers (the YAMAHA MSW-10
is currently advertised for this much money at PC World).

Thanks,
Albert

PS: Happy New Year 1996 to everyone!
