I have two hard drives and one CD-ROM, all IDE that need to be connected to a single motherboard. Right now my controller card is working find with one hd and the CD-ROM, but I can, of course, only connect two IDE devices to it, so how do I get the third one in there? I'm guessing it's possible, because unix has the device files /deb/hdc*. So, can I: a) Connect a second controller card, properly jumpered to be the secondary IDE device. b) Replace my controller card with and EIDE controller card and hook all three device to it.
