Is ODBC a standard? I have a MySQL server running and MyODBC set up. I have Cold Fusion running as well. Perl, using the DBD:ODBC module, can connect to the MySQL server just fine. Cold Fusion refuses to. And yes, I have double checked the username/password that I gave cold fusion. It's using the same one my perl scrip works just fine with. Now, I though the whole point of ODBC was a level of abstraction from a RDBMS system. If it can talk to on ODBC driver, it should be able to talk to all of them, right? Until now, I though Cold Fusion was the greatest thing since sliced bread, but what's with this? -- Adam carheden@cs.colostate.edu
