I have a motorola 56k voicesurfer and I'm curious as to what I need to do to get higher connect speeds. Currently, when connecting to CSU I can get a maximum of 26.4k or, as is more usual, 24k. I realize that CSU is using the rockwell chipset, which is a different standard, but shouldn't I be able to connect at 33.6k? I live at S. Taft hill and Horsetooth, basically, if location is a factor. Do I need to buy a different modem? Do I need to change the init string currently being used? Do I need to move?
