Not familiar with nmsg. As for the problem? If you are in any curses based application, hitting the terminal usually permanently messes up the screen. This includes PINE, ELM, PICO, and even TALK itself. It could almost be considered rude to splatter up someone's display. Well, to be sure, usually a CTRL-L will fix things, but how many people do you think know that? An interesting side-note: New PINE users get set up with a set of defaults that include turning messages off. This saves them the problem of having their mail sessions splattered into garbage, but kind of destroys the whole idea of talk and write... Some of the newer talk daemons will take a "message" for someone if their messages are off. It deliveres it as E-mail, I believe. -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Michael J.
