Being a fellow EE who has taken both classes, here's my thoughts. M350 is much more applicable to EE stuff. You learn how to mathematically find best fit curves, approximate answers to problems, find round off errors in computer calculations, etc. M317 on the other hand is more theoretical stuff. You do a lot of writing proofs on things that were given to you as fact in M160 and M161. Most of the proof and analysis deals with convergence of sequences, and other characteristics of infinite sequences. I personally enjoyed M317 more, but M350 probably IS more appropriate. Tina Payne
