Social type newsgroup for CSU?

I was wondering if there's a newsgroup for CSU for socializing/talking/
whatever?? I'm not having an easy time meeting people on campus since I'm
only there for classes then straight home to tend to my young 'un. Would
this be the place for that? The only contact I've had with other 'net
users is e-mail sent from guys I don't know (and am not sure I WANT to know!).
