I'm working on my thesis/project and there is a substantial
software development component to it. It will be using the Java language
and most of it will be developed on either Sun's or Windows NT.
It is a graphical/database project that has commercial applications.
It is an Internet tool that can be described as a new type of browser or
perhaps more accurately as an extension to existing browsers.
There will be a stipend paid plus a couple options for a bonus.
The skills of interest are: object-oriented analysis (important to
know about many existing Internet products) and design, Java language,
Informix, ODBC, documentation, testing, porting issues.
It promises to be an interesting project and there are real
opportunities here. This translates to "low pay - high reward." :-)
