This is a rather difficult ad to write :.-( FREE to a good home, a very nice, spayed and declawed siamese-mix female housecat, 'Artie'. She's a 'crazy mixed-up' looking kitty, with various striped and spotted markings on a white body. She's a medium sized cat and has never been sick. No special diet, just dry food and water. Artie has been a member of our household for about ten years and is a *very* sweet and affectionate friend. Our problem is that we now have several other cats in the household that don't get along with her. For many years she was an 'only' cat, and those days are over. Artie is a bit of an 'old lady', and when the other cats want to play with her she gets defensive which causes the other cats to get quite aggressive. Declawing was probably a mistake in the first place as the other cats are *not* declawed, which makes for some pretty unfair fights :(( Artie's only bad habits are that she will always jump onto the seat you're about to sit on, and she'll drape across whatever book you're reading. She's an *indoor* cat and whenever you're home you are *hers*, day and night! Artie would be happiest if she was again an 'only' cat, but might get along well with another spayed/neutered feline friend. She's never been around kids or dogs, and would probably not do so well with either. Artie is a real sweetie, and it really breaks our hearts to have to part with her, but she's definitely *not* happy where she is, and we just have to face up to the facts. If you might be able to provide Artie with a loving home and would like to meet her (and us), please call or email :) We realize that making her happy in a new home can be kind of iffy, so if it doesn't work out we will of course take her back and try again. We sincerely want her and her new 'pet humans' to be happy :) TIA, Michael and Sue Olsen (Loveland) 491-5229 days 669-8429 evenings glassguy@lamar.colostate.edu
