Okay, I'm going hog wild now that I can have all my users validated via my NT box. I installed IMAP, but then I remembered reading about a Red Hat/IMAP security hole. I checked CERT, and it doesn't apply to me (I think), but it made me nervous. Does anyone know a good security FAQ, one with a quick step-by-step list of stuff to do to check common security holes? -- Adam carheden@cnhp.colostate.edu

For not extremely current fixes, check out http://www.redhat.com/support/updates.html. If you really want to be on top of the game, you'll probably want to subscribe to the Bugtraq mailing list (see securityfocus.com). I found this offered a little more information than I needed though (they need a bugtraq-linux list). That imap vulnerability is really old, I think you'd have to have a <4.2 redhat release to be vulnerable. -- Mike Grandin
