Does anyone know how to make ftpd set the directory owner and permission on directory that the anonymous user creates? My upload directive in ftpaccess works for files just fine, but doesn't apply to directories. -- Adam Carheden adam.carheden@colostate.edu (970) 689-1363

A quick look at the ftpaccess manpage reveals that the dirs & d_mode option
should do what you want. Getting a different owner for directories than files
doesn't appear to be an option, but why would you need that?
upload [absolute|relative] [class=<classname>]... [-] <root-dir>
<dirglob> <yes|no> <owner> <group> <mode> ["dirs"|"nodirs"] [<d_mode>]
ex:
upload /home/ftp /incoming yes adam adam 0440 dirs 3773

What version of ftpd are you using? My man page doesn't say anything about d_mode, just dirs|nodirs. Thanks. -- Adam Carheden adam.carheden@colostate.edu (970) 689-1363
