Thanks to some very helpful Usenetters, a few annoying bugs have been identified and corrected in the 2.1a version of popclient. Corrected bugs include: o Null commands were being sent to the POP server in some instances. This caused confusion with servers that are in strict compliance with the POP specification, and resulted in connections being prematurely terminated. o The options record was not being properly initialized, thanks to a boneheaded blunder on the part of yours truly. o The verbose output (option -v) for the POP3 protocol was ill- formatted due to a missing newline character. o The default CFLAGS setting in the Makefile were causing problems with some compilers. The patched version is available via anonymous ftp from csugrad.cs.vt.edu in /pub/popclient-2.1a.tar.gz. As the source distribution is fairly small, I'll not be posting patches. -- Carl Harris CSUGRAD Administrator ceharris@vt.edu http://csugrad.cs.vt.edu/aboutus/ceharris.html
