[I received this note today - Wayne] Colleagues, My apologies for the bulk mailing; this is being sent to my friends and colleagues at academic institutions who might have graduating PhD's soon. Please feel free to contact me personally if you are so inclined and let me know what you are up to. The Department of Computer Science at the US Air Force Academy is looking to hire an assistant professor. The ad is in the October issue of Computer, with online information available at http://kirk.usafa.af.mil. The Academy is located in Colorado Springs. We are first and foremost a teaching institution, but with the hiring of civilians resarch opportunities are growing. I am the department's first civilian hire, and so far have enjoyed my time here immensely. If you know of any PhD's who will finish by the end of the current academic year and who might be interested in this type of position, please let them know about this opportunity. Feel free to post this notice in an appropriate place, and to refer interested candidates to me if they have any questions. Thank you. Sincerely, Barry Fagin fagin@cs.usafa.af.mil -----------------
