Of course, I seriously doubt we would have had the ability to
reliably shoot down evem -one- ICBM even if we HAD spent gazillion$$$
to build the ill-conceived SDI system.

Especially if the threat came via cruise missile instead of ICBM.
Which is much more likely, in my opinion.
