PARTICIPATE IN A WORLD WIDE WEB EXPERIMENT !!!!
I have set up a psychological experiment on my World Wide Web
site, and I need your help.
This project aims to explore the role of attention in perceptual
processing of melodies. The main goal of the project is to find out
what features of a melody make it interesting or boring to
the listeners. For this purpose we would like you to listen to
several brief melodies and rate them according to their
"interestingness".
The WWW page for this experiment is:
http://boulder.colorado.edu/~lucky/Attention/Explain.html
You can use Mosaic, Netscape, or any other Net-surfing tool that
you like. I have provided fairly detailed instructions about
the study, as well as the setup files which should enable you to
participate in the study with minimized inconvenience.
Your participation in this study will be greatly appreciated. Those
few minutes of your time will enable us to collect sufficient
experimental data in order to draw some (hopefully, exciting)
conclusions about the role of attention in music cognition.
If you have any questions or comments, please send email
to lucky@boulder.colorado.edu.
Thanks in advance,
Lucky Vidmar
