Dear Managers,

We encounter some difficulties with our CD-ROM device (RRD42).
It seems that particular CD`s (audio & data) are not recognized 
by the device. Everything works fine when the CD is recognized; 
therefore I conclude that our drive isn`t broken.

In the following experiment we used an unrecognized audio CD.

csh> file /dev/rrz4c 
/dev/rrz4c:

Using the SCSI CAM Utility Program (scu):
csh> scu -f /dev/rrz4c

Note that the same audio CD doesn`t cause any problems on our ALPHA. 

I have read man-pages, owner`s manuals, FAQ`s ... but couldn`t find 
any helpfull information (or missed it). Do you have any ideas what 
might cause this? Please, let me know. I will summarize in detail.
